Getting started

To get started earning OP rewards, complete the following steps. It should take less than 10 minutes!

1. Create an account on the Optimism Governance Forum
2. Fill out this form: **Optimism GovNFT Governance Participation,** connecting your wallet address with your GovNFT address
3. Pick an active delegate! You can see current delegates at Optimism Curiahub. If you are struggling picking a delegate, OP Michael is the organizer of this program and has been an active voter since the start, however you should pick a delegate that best fits your values. (10 points)
4. Post in this thread about why you chose that specific delegate. (20 points)

Earning OP

There is 25,000 OP available to participants in this program. It will be distributed at the end based on the number of points earned.

More points = More OP

Once you have finished the tasks in the “getting started” section, points are earned by completing the tasks that you see below.

All participants need the GovNFT Races NFT granted by the Velodrome team in order to be eligible for the program. Creating your own GovNFT does not make you eligible for this program.

Incentivized activities and tasks:

• Forum Participation
  • Make a thoughtful post in our “bi-weekly governance topic thread” (6 points)
    • This thread will be created every two weeks by the GovNFT champion and cover a current topic in governance.
    • “Spam” responses as judged by the GovNFT manager will have 6 points deducted.
    • The most thoughtful response in each thread, as judged by the GovNFT Champion, will be awarded an additional 20 points.
• Community Calls
  • Attend a community call (10 points)
    • During the call, write “I am attending as a GovNFT participant, my forum username is ******”. Make sure you write this AFTER the recording has started and include your forum username in the message.
  • Post in a call-specific GovNFT thread after attending and answer some questions about the call (10 points)
    • Check Community Calls dates in the **Optimism Governance calendar.** These meetings happen every two weeks, and are under “Joint House Community Call” and “Token House Community Call”.

How to delegate:

1. Click on "dashboard”

1. Make sure GovNFT races is selected. If no GovNFTs appear under the "GovNFT races" category, then you are most likely not eligible for the program

1. Step 3 click on the NFT to see more details

1. Click on delegate

1. Put in the delegate’s address. It has to be done from this interface. As a reminder, you can find your chosen delegate’s address at https://vote.optimism.io/delegates.
